Even PETA's Impressed

I was searching for the article on Tony Gonzalez saving that guy in the restaurant, and I came across this PETA blog about it. I'm all for vegetarianism, but the smugness of this post made me laugh. Hopefully the writer was being tongue-in-cheek. Then again, PETA folks wouldn't put a tongue in there. Too meaty.

Seriously, when even Larry Bird is admitting that the fans are staying away due to all the off-court stuff going on, how much more do you need? At this point I'm seriously thinking losses are fine. At least we'd get a chance at the lottery.

Indiana Pacers get Travis Diener

So we get Travis Diener as point guard, eh? He signed a contract with the pacers this week, so I guess we do. He wasn't used much in Orlando... maybe he's been waiting to show us what he can do now that he's here.

successful surgeries

Both Jermaine O'Neal and David Harrison recently had successful arthroscopic surgeries. O'Neal had some torn cartilage in his left knee repaired, while Harrison had surgery on his collarbone to fix shoulder problems he has suffered for most of the season.
